I’m LaTanya R. Quinn, the Soul Coach. I’m a Christ-follower, multi-passionate creative entrepreneur, and founder of Cure 4 the Soul Ministries and Cure 4 the Soul Inc. In 2017, God called me to write The Acceleration Cure amidst the failure of my art business, Cure For Bare Walls.

Obey When It Feels Odd

Most things God asks us to seem odd and against ordinary rules and structures. Yes, at times, we’re unsure if it’s our thoughts we conjured up and don’t want to do something risky that may not prompt the Holy Spirit’s actions. At other times, the problem comes when we begin questioning and reasoning our way out of things we know God is impressing upon us to do.

For example, when Jesus healed the blind man on the sabbath, He spat and made clay with dirt, then told the man to go wash in the pool, which the town considered dirty and dusty.

Why would Jesus heal on the sabbath and want the blind man to take extra steps by going somewhere to wash, which seemed unorthodox to finish the healing process?

Since Jesus is God, why didn’t He heal the man on the spot or what the Pharisees would have considered an acceptable workday?

John 9:6-7 JB Phillips says, Having said this, he spat on the ground and made a sort of clay with the saliva. This he applied to the man’s eyes and said, “Go and wash in the pool of Siloam.” (Siloam means “one who has been sent.”) So the man went off and washed and came home with his sight restored.

Because the blind man was desperate for a solution, he obeyed Jesus’ command and received a life-changing blessing and healing. The reminder here is to obey when it feels odd.

Likewise, because I obeyed God and kept moving and utilizing my writing skills regardless of my financial hardships and life storms, The Acceleration Cure can serve you in multiple capacities by helping you navigate and accelerate in your life and business no matter the season. In addition, my season is up for a bit with curing bare walls, because in 2023, God sparked something greater within me after I lost everything I’d been working for except my faith in God—a new, purpose-driven business.
