1 PRIORITIZE THE ONE BIG THING
2 Clean & Organize Home & Office
3 Clean & Organize Kitchen
A clean and organized kitchen can help you prepare healthy meals and save you time and money in the long run. Whenever you go into a neat kitchen, it motivates you to prepare nourishing foods and keep that area clean when you finish up in this area.
4 Declutter Common Areas
Focus on decluttering the areas of your home that get the most traffic, like your living room and hallway. Decluttering clears your mental space and quickly helps you find your shoes, keys, mail, etc.
5 Clean Appliances
Keep your appliances running smoothly by cleaning them regularly. If you keep your appliances clean, it contributes to the overall look of the kitchen. I encourage you to clear out the fridge and refrigerator regularly as well to cut down on odors. Knowing what you have in your food inventory helps you reduce unnecessary grocery shopping spending.
6 Clean & Organize Closets
A well-organized closet can save you time and frustration when getting dressed in the morning. When you know precisely where your blazers, button-up tops, workout clothes, belts, and shoes are, you can easily plan your wardrobes at the top of the week. I recommend setting out your work and workout clothes on Sunday night for a flawless morning routine.
7 Donate Unused Items
Get rid of items you no longer need by donating them to a local charity. If you are holding on to items you haven’t used in two or more years, you’ll want to consider whether you still need them.
8 Balance Bank Account
Keep track of your finances by balancing your bank account regularly. A regular look into your financial picture helps you to eliminate stressful situations from arising. Because I check my credit card and bank accounts regularly, I noticed a $737 fraud charge on my credit card within a few days of posting.
9 File Receipts
Keep your receipts organized by filing them as soon as you receive them. You can use a digital system to keep up with receipts, such as Quickbooks or Wave, or point them in an accordion filer.
10 Update Budget/Pay Bills
Make sure you’re staying on top of your bills by updating your budget regularly. We, busy business owners, need budgets to ensure everything from payroll to daycare expenses gets taken care of on time and we have enough money to cover the costs.
11 Update Financial Goals
Review your financial goals regularly to ensure you’re on track to meet them. Sometimes, you need help to reach your financial goals, and it’s essential to evaluate your progress for your financial goals almost daily. Your role as a CEO is to keep revenue flowing regularly into the company.
12 Write Down All Debts
List all your debts, so you know exactly what you’re dealing with. Keep up with your debts and ask God to provide for their elimination.
13 File Quarterly Taxes
Stay on top of your taxes by filing them on time. Taxes is a scary word to some people, but it shouldn’t be. God will help you to find peace in this area.
Mark 12:17 says,
Then Jesus told them, “Give back to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”And they were amazed at Him.
14 Create Meal Plan
Planning your meals can help you save time and money. When I plan my meals, I notice that I eat healthier, spend less time in the kitchen during the week, and don’t overspend on groceries.
15 Create Exercise Schedule
Make exercise a priority by creating a schedule that works for you. Leaders must look the part, not just talk the part. Believe it or not, people you want to do business with want to see if you believe what you teach by looking at how well you care for your body.
16 Plan Each Day/Week
Plan for the next week between Friday and Sunday, and plan the next day the night before so you know exactly what you need to accomplish. God gave me the Dream Big Goal Setting Guide & Planner system to help Christian visionaries stay on top of their planning. You’d be surprised what you can accomplish if you planned for next week the Friday before and designed the next day the night before. Currently, I’m only offering the planning system through the Dream Big Goals Challenge.
17 Update/Review Goals
Make sure you’re staying on track with your goals by reviewing them regularly. How often do you review your goals? Weekly, daily, twice a week? It doesn’t matter how frequently you check your goals as long as you look at them regularly to keep them top of mind.
18 Time Block Your Work
Create a schedule that includes time blocks for work, breaks, and personal activities. Time blocking helps me get deep-focused work done. When I time block, I know precisely what I’m doing during that time, and I work on that one thing.
19 Hire a Coach
Consider hiring a coach or mentor to help you stay focused and accountable. When you have accountability and guidance, your chances of success are 50% higher than doing it alone. A coach is not your leader, but they walk alongside you to share expertise that’s helpful to your vision.
20 Attend Conferences/Networking Events
Attend conferences and networking events to learn from others and make new connections. Getting out more and connecting with other business owners is one thing I’m working on this year. Networking at live events, meet-ups, and conferences is a powerful way to build good connections and potential clients.
21 Read Business Books/Articles
Read books and articles on the latest business trends. Leaders are readers, and we must stay in the know to know how to shift, pivot, or figure out how to close gaps in our business.
22 Take Breaks
Don’t forget to take breaks to recharge and avoid burnout. Work smart, not hard. Work smart to maximize your stamina to do the hard work, but spend time in nature, with family and friends, and enjoy some downtime.
23 Delegate Tasks
Delegate tasks to others to free up your time and focus on your top priorities. Hire a contractor or delegate tasks to others if possible. It’s harder to do this as a solopreneur, but it’s possible.
24 Practice Self-care
Take care of your mental and physical health by exercising, resting in bed longer, and getting enough sleep. Caring for yourself involves your spiritual well-being as well. Giving your time and drawing near God provides the reset you need. Self-care also consists of monitoring how you communicate with yourself. Give yourself grace and refrain from negative self-talk.
25 Celebrate Your Wins
Take the time to celebrate your wins, no matter how small they may be. If you worked out for 15 minutes instead of the 45 minutes you usually do, remember that you still got up to move your body.
Soul Actions
Prioritize your top goal for the day.
Plan your time.
Care for yourself.
